I am an avid lover of The Body Shop and their products from how the products are made, to the result of the product I take home. First of all, they are against animal testing and as a vegetarian and animal-lover, that news bodes well with me. Their products - and most of their containers - don't harm our planet and The Body Shop defend Human Rights.
It was my birthday in May and as a present, my mum gave me a £25 gift card so off I went to the The Body Shop. On that day I also signed up for a 'Love Your Body' membership card for £5, it gives me 10% off each purchase, as well as free gifts and free birthday present - as you can probably tell, I was happy by this news - not only did I have £25 to spend of someone elses' money, I also got money off of that too. This is what I bought...
The Body Shop Super Volume Mascara 10ml in 01 Black |
The Body Shop White Musk Eau De Parfum 60ml |
The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-oil 28ml |
The Body Shop All-In-One Cheek in 02 Ginger |
White Musk Libertine Eau De Parfum (perfume) 60ml: Deciding between the perfumes was a very hard decision. There were too that were similar so it was hard to choose. I ended up choosing White Musk Libertine as it was a stronger smell and, obviously, 'muskier'. The smell is simply gorgeous and I can't get enough of the fragrance however, in the heat we are having at the moment, it is a bit too much as it is so strong - but any other time of the year, it would be perfect!
Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil 28ml: I will most probably write a blog post individually for this product but here's a summary - Brilliantly fragrance and gorgeously made. The oil isn't too thick and isn't too thin, and gives a great coverage on my skin - just one squirt of the pipette will be enough to cover the skin on your face and skin. I apply just before I'm going to bed and I can feel the effects when I wake up in the morning. More to come on that one...
All-In-One Cheek in 02 Ginger: Me and blusher don't usually have a great relationship and if I'm completely honest, I can't ever apply it the way I want it too. But this is easy to apply and stays in one piece, finally! So many of my past blushers break into a million pieces as soon as I get them but this one is still going strong. The shade may be a little too pink for my pale skin and I wish I had got the lighter shade, but apart from that I am very happy with these little pot of beauty.
