It's my favourite time of the month - magazine time. Not only are all the new magazines coming out but this month, a lot of them come with a freebie. This month - the August edition - Cosmopolitan are giving away some products from New Cid Cosmetics - either cheek & lip tint or black mascara. Although I do appreciate a good lip stick/cheek tint, personally nothing can beat a good ol' mascara!
As you may know if you have read my previous posts I am very picky with the mascaras that I wear and honestly, I have never heard of New Cid before but I thought that I should at least give it a go - and I am quite happy with the outcome.
On the first layer however, I wasn't so convinced. Lashes started to clump and look just weird! However I continued on applying to find that actually, it was applying better and better with more use, I think it must have been the first use of the brush not agreeing properly with my lashes, but after that the relationship between the brush and my lashes grew.
It's not the best mascara I've ever tried but it's definitely not the worst and what's even better is that it was free (well except from the small fee of the magazine). I've been looking at other New Cid products and they actually seem very professional, good quality and high end, which means that experience of owning one even better. I may have to invest in some other New Cid products, especially their i - flutter double wanded mascara for £18.50.

ReplyDeleteHonestly I've never used a mascara as bad as this, I hate it, thank god it was free haha. In my opinion, it never looks good on me, it always looks clumpy, a problem that I never have with even the cheapest of mascaras. I'm glad it worked for you though :)
