KELLY BROOK NAIL POLISH IN MINT GREEN PRODUCT REVIEW

I recently I have found myself having a slight obsession with the colour mint green (or a pastel green) and in true girl fashion, wanting to get a new nail polish to fix my colour fetish. I was in New Look (also buying a summer hat with a mint green rim) when I saw an array of nail polishes in front of me, one being mint green. They were the Kelly Brook collection and the colours were so vibrant and this one in particular had a slight bit of glitter - not too much that it is a nightmare to get off, damn glitter nail varnish. As soon as I brought it, I was very excited to use it.

The expectation - lovely mint green nail polish, sliding on like a dream leaving flawless and smooth nails. The reality - lumpy and hard to use nail polish. Now, I'm not sure whether this is because of the weather that it became lumpy or just how it was made, but I'm not impressed. It is very hard to apply because the liquid is so thick and lumpy and it shows on the finished look - you can see in the picture above that it's not a smooth and flawless as I would have hoped. The liquid took aaaaaages to set - it was about 5 hours after and the polish was still moving and getting ruined. However, the colour is amazing. I love seeing it and I have gotten many compliments because of the colour of my nails. I would definitely suggest getting a mint green nail polish, especially for the summer, but probably not one sold in New Look.

Every time I paint my nails I always use a clear coat first to protect my nails and then use the clear coat again to finish off the look. With the Kelly Brook nail polish, the clear coat helped massively to help smooth over the nails and make them look that little bit more nicer. The clear nail polish I used was Maxfactor Glossfinity clear nail polish and it works like a dream.

    1. By all means, give them a go but I wasn't very impressed. It could be the heat making the polish like it but my others aren't like it... I definitely recommend the mint green though! A beautiful colour x
