It have also been the month where I have found loads more brilliant beauty blogs and some very nice people in the blogging world! It has also been the month that I have bought all of this lot, which makes it even better! Some already have blog posts (go & have a read) but the others will be uploaded soon!

SIMPLE KIND TO SKIN REFRESHING FACIAL WASH GEL: BEAUTY REVIEW

Before recently, I was never a big user of facial washes and cleaners. Bad, I know but that was just how it was. Until however, I realised my skin becoming extremely blemish and spot prone very fast, this may have been something to do with my diet (as you may guess, my diet at university wasn't the healthiest it could have been) but it was also to do with the lack of care I was giving to my skin. Despite not looking after my skin in the past, I have always been a lover of Simple products; their face wipes are amazing. So after realising that I need to take care of my skin a lot more, I went down to my local Boots and brought a product from my favourite skin care brand - and here are the results.

FIVE CONCEALER BEAUTY MISTAKES I HAVE MADE: BEAUTY TIPS

As you may have read in one of my recent posts, I haven't been wearing concealer for that long at all and at first I wasn't too sure how to wear and apply it properly and I made a lot of mistakes which were affecting my skin and my appearance. So this is for all the concealer newbies (or the ones who aren't sure about the application of concealer) to tell you the correct way to apply and use concealer - all mistake have been made by myself and whilst committing these crimes against beauty, I was reading many articles and blogs telling me I was doing it wrong, so make sure you don't do the same as me and ignore them.

SOAP & GLORY KICK ASS CONCEALER | BEAUTY PRODUCT REVIEW

I've only been wearing concealer for the past year or so and I haven't had any other then Soap & Glory's Kick Ass Concealer and (queue the cheesy line) I've never looked back since. I've been wearing this concealer for about 14 months now and I have only had to buy two pots so far which is great. As I was a concealer newbie, there were obvious mistakes that I made time and time again but whilst growing up a heck of a lot recently and taking care of my appearance so much more than I did before, as well as writing a beauty blog, I have come across a lot of tips and know-how to apply concealer properly.

KELLY BROOK NAIL POLISH IN MINT GREEN PRODUCT REVIEW

I recently I have found myself having a slight obsession with the colour mint green (or a pastel green) and in true girl fashion, wanting to get a new nail polish to fix my colour fetish. I was in New Look (also buying a summer hat with a mint green rim) when I saw an array of nail polishes in front of me, one being mint green. They were the Kelly Brook collection and the colours were so vibrant and this one in particular had a slight bit of glitter - not too much that it is a nightmare to get off, damn glitter nail varnish. As soon as I brought it, I was very excited to use it.

MODELS OWN SWEETSHOP NAIL COLLECTION - SWEET SCENTED NAIL POLISH

Picture taken from Models Own's Twitter page
Some very exciting news just emerged on Twitter when Models Own tweeted their brand new nail polish collection 'Sweetshop' which is being released in shops from the 26th of July - that's so far away! As well as being eyecatchingly beautiful colours, the nail varnishes also have a scent of the sweets on their lid - from cola bottle to liquorice allsorts, I think I can see Rhubarb and Custard too!

I am very excited for these to hit our stores at the end of the month and the 26th can't come quick enough! The will be launched in Models Own's Bootleshop stores on the 26th of July and Superdrug stores on the 30th - and they are also EXCLUSIVELY launching the collection on their own website on the 25TH!! Watch this space...

MY BLOG: THE BEGINNING OF MY BLOGGING JOURNEY & TIPS I'VE LEARNT SO FAR

My first post may have been published in December and I have been blogging now and then since, but the posts from December through to June haven't really been my best work - they haven't shown what I can do and frankly, they were a big naff. So now is the time that I put my foot down and show the world (most importantly, my readers) what I can actually do. I am counting all of the posts that has been published in July as a new start - and I hope you do to. I understand we are only fifteen days into July, but in those two weeks I have learnt so much and I have changed and re-vamped my blog massively, and I hope that you all prefer this new Beauty High Street. Not only am I reviewing products any more, but I am sharing my tips and my views, as well as writing other non-beauty-related posts (which are under 'lifestyle'). These past couple of weeks I have bee reading through many, many more blogs and have come across some fantastic writers that are around my age and have become so successful in such a short amount of time (check out my blogroll) and it has inspired me to do the same, to show the world what I can do and be proud of my blog - after all, writing it what I want to do for a living.

CLASSIC CARMEX MOISTURISING LIP BALM REVIEW: EVERY GIRLS BEST FRIEND

Thousands of new beauty products are released every year and even though many of them are ground-breaking and will go on to be an important and popular product in the beauty world, sometimes there's just nothing like an old classic product the we know works. Putting Vaseline aside, Carmex is the 'go-to' lip product that a huge number of girls go to when cracked and sore lips are on the horizon, ad I for one, am one of those girls. It might not be the most attractive of packages, but it certainly does the job and has never let me down.

BEAUTY TIPS TO SURVIVE THE SUMMER

Summer. Isn't it a lovely time? The sun is shining, the shorts are on and it's finally okay to eat ice cream at all times of the day. But it also has its downsides - being sweaty and uncomfortable isn't as gorgeous as we all hoped. I always look like a right mess in the summer because I'm sometimes just to hot to care, but now is time for a change. I will look hot in the heat, I will damn it! So I have put together a few tips and tricks to keeps your body cool and collected as well as b-e-a-uitufl. Now I know I'm not beauty expert but these tips are things that recently have been tried and tested by myself and actually work! Give them a try.

NEW MUSIC I'M LOVING WHILST BLOGGING

Image from Pinterest - Not my image
Music makes blogging just that little bit more enjoyable, right? I'm constantly searching for more new music to sing along to (badly) whilst writing these hopefully enjoyable blog posts. My music taste can be very varied at times - I have everything from Disney and musical theatre songs to punk and rock on my iTunes - but when music is concerned I'm usually very pop and dance music savvy. Below is a list of the songs I am loving whilst writing.

MY LOVE FOR THE ECO-FRIENDLY HAIR ACCESSORY THE INVISIBOBBLE: REVIEW

The only bad thing I have to say: the box is tricky to get in. Now that's over lets talk about all the good things to do with this very underestimated accessory! Honestly, I was intrigued but I didn't have much hope, to me it was just a gimmick to get girls like me to invest and within the first couple of uses will snap into pieces. Oh. How. Wrong. Was. I?

TODAY'S MAKEUP

I always see these types of blog posts on other peoples beauty blogs and I love them, as even though we all review the products on our blog, it doesn't necessarily mean that we use the product regularly. So here we go...

THE BODY SHOP VITAMIN E OVERNIGHT SERUM-IN-OIL: BEAUTY REVIEW

For month's I have been reading about this 'miracle' night serum from The Body Shop which recharges and freshens your skin and allows you to wake up with a gorgeous feeling and looking face. What complete utter rubbish, right? Well actually, no...

PALE & SENSITIVE SKIN BLOG POSTS

If you're a regular reader to this blog then you will probably know that I am pale skinned and have recently found out just how sensitive my skin is (how could you not know - I don't stop banging on about it). I know many bloggers publish the odd post now and again about products for sensitive skin, but I hardly ever see things published helping girls with pale skin.

COSMOPOLITAN AUGUST ISSUE FREEBIE: NEW CID COSMETICS I - DRAMA ULTIMATE LASH DEFINING MASCARA

It's my favourite time of the month - magazine time. Not only are all the new magazines coming out but this month, a lot of them come with a freebie. This month - the August edition - Cosmopolitan are giving away some products from New Cid Cosmetics - either cheek & lip tint or black mascara. Although I do appreciate a good lip stick/cheek tint, personally nothing can beat a good ol' mascara!

THE BODY SHOP BEAUTY HAUL: BLUSHER, MASCARA, PERFUME AND OVERNIGHT SERUM-IN-OIL - REVIEW

I am an avid lover of The Body Shop and their products from how the products are made, to the result of the product I take home. First of all, they are against animal testing and as a vegetarian and animal-lover, that news bodes well with me. Their products - and most of their containers - don't harm our planet and The Body Shop defend Human Rights.

JULY WISHLIST: BEAUTY

For ages, I have been sulking over fabulous products that I can't afford to buy but thankfully I am working for the summer and am no longer a poor student (for these next couple of months, anyway). I have seen other beauty bloggers brag about the new releases and gorgeous products and if I'm completely honest - I'm very jealous. But it's no good sulking over what I don't have but look forward to what I could have and these items are the things at the top of my list.

CANDLES, MAKEUP AND DO IT YOURSELF JEWELLERY HOLDERS: HOME & DIY

I have just come back from university, which means transferring everything I have from one house to the other - packing and then unpacking in the same day. Tedious task, right? Maybe for some. For me however, I love it! I get a thrill out of placing all of my well-loved items back into their original (or finding new) places, and making my room a dream to live in. This is what I have done with it so far...

MAYBELLINE NEW YORK DREAM SUN TRIPLE BRONZING POWDER: BEAUTY REVIEW - BRILLIANT FOR PALE SKIN

It's summer time which means that we all want to look as brown as possible. But for those of you who are unlucky enough too not go on holiday (or who don't tan brilliantly), that could be quite hard - along comes the bronzer. If you're a regular reader of Beauty High Street, you may know that my skin is very pale so finding a bronzer that's not 'too' bronze it quite a mission!

REVAMP YOUR LOOK WITH YOUR EYE SHADOW PALLETTE

If you're anything like me, you use the same makeup day-in, day-out and toss all other makeup to the side. I get given beautiful makeup for Christmas' and birthdays' but never end up using them - I find that eye shadow palettes are the worse. I always vow that I will use them this time, but never do. I think it's the fear of trying something new.
