As I mentioned in my last post, The Body Shop is one of my favourite body product brand. The scents are just indescribable and I really like how they use natural products, don't test on animals and are vegetarian and planet friendly.
I done my usual online snoop around my favourite shops a couple of weeks ago and saw that The Body Shop were doing special Christmas editions; Cranberry, Vanilla and Gingerbread. The cranberry scent immediately screamed out to me as I love sweet smells and knew that this was going to be a corker of a scent. I've got the cranberry gift set which includes body wash, body polish, body butter and a lip balm - all smelling of cranberry's of course.
The shower gel-
The body polish-
Now, I rarely use exfoliater as I used to hate the 'bites' in body polishes that got everywhere, so I stopped using them completely. But after this one coming in the gift set, I thought I my-as-well give it another go - and I am glad that I did. Even though this body polish was still 'bitty', it was very easy to wash off unlike others I have tried in the past. On the pouf with water, this lathers up even more than the shower gel which is an even bigger plus! Even before I washed it off, I could feel that my body was immediately softer and smooth, and I also saw an even bigger difference once I was out of the shower. I am a big fan of this product and will use this at least once a week to ensure that my skin is kept in the best possible condition... It, obviously, smells gorgeous too!
The body butter-
Now, if you know me, you know I have a big obsession with body butters and moisturisers whatever they're brand, but there's something about The Body Shop body butters that I just can't get away from. They are so thick and remove the roughness from your ski almost straight away. The tub last forever no matter how much you use and I love the variety of scents they have (I currently have Cranberry, Mango, Coconut, Vanilla and Chocolate - more on them in a post to come!). I have read some posts from bloggers that say that they love body butters in the Winter but really don;t like them when it comes to the summer, because they are so thick - yes, I can see where they are coming from, but the point of having body butters/moisturisers is so you can have smooth skin all year round, I personally don't see much difference from using it in the winter and using it in the summer, but it is just personal preference. If you prefer lighter body butters in the hotter weather than this probably isn't for you as they are so thick (for the winter it's perfect though), but if you are like me and use body butter all year around, it's perfect.
The lip balm-
From my last post, you can see that I am huge fan of The body Shop's lip balms. The cranberry scent in this balm is extremely sweet and strong, as well as the colour. Now I mentioned in my last post that I'm not normally a fan of colour of my lips, and this does give me a bit of a dark pink/red colour which at the moment, I can't really get used. There's nothing wrong with the products it's just that for me, it's not quite right.. however if you are a fan of lip colour and lip smooth-ness, this is a great product for you.
