The Body Shop Oil Burner and Oils

Okay so I know that oil burners are not beauty products but I just had to blog about it. After having an obsession with scented candles for a while but then getting annoyed after having to keep buying so many of them because I used them so much, I was given this oil burner from The Body Shop for Christmas with 3 different scented oils; Vanilla & Tonka Bean, Green Tea & Lemon and Aloe & Soft Linen.

Vanilla & Tonka Bean -
This fragrance is very comforting and warm - that sounds ridiculous but it's true. It makes the room feel homely and comfortable and covers up any unwanted smells. It's quite a soft fragrant and isn't a 'smack-you-in-the-face-as-soon-as-you-come-in-the-room' smell. The vanilla makes it quite sweet but not so sweet that it makes it sickly.

Aloe & Soft Linen -
This is a weird one - on paper it sounds like it should be my favourite scent but in reality it's quite different. I have only used this oil once and I haven't gone back since, it was a weird smell that I didn't like and I wasn't the only one to realise it. As soon as I walked into my room the smell hit me and even after I put out the oil burner the unkind smell would linger - with any other fragrance I would be fine with that, but I'm not fond of this one.

Green Tea & Lemon -
My Favourite. I grew in a household where my mum uses a lot of cleaning products with lemon in them, meaning that for me this scent makes me room feel clean. It is a very fresh smell and gets rid of any other smells. If you have some oils on enough, the smell eventually fades away but no matter how long I have this old burning for I can still smell it.

Each bottle is £4 from The Body Shop and as long as you are not putting too much oil into the burner, they last a long time. After the oil burner is turned off I can still smell the scent I used previously throughout the rest of the day. This was definitely a brilliant investment as a bottle of oil lasts a lot longer than a scented candle and you can get a pack of 100 tea lights for a couple of pound... I have used this every day since Christmas and I still have half a pack of tea lights and over half of all the oils.

Do you have this, or a similar product? What do you think of these scents and what scents would be recommend?
