L'Oreal Paris The Minerals Truematch Powder Foundation

With thousands of brands, products, textures and colours, the world of make up can get complicated at times. With so much make up all ready existing, year by year new make up products and creams are still being brought out - we had BB creams, then CC, then DD and now EE creams, where is it going to end? There is so much to choose from, but one thing is sure, we all need foundation.This make up marvel is literally the 'foundation' of every girls make up (sorry for the pun) and is used everyday. Like every other piece of makeup, there are so many to choose from; whether it's creams, powder, mousses, gels - it's hard to know which one to choose.


The first time I wore foundation, I choose to wear mousse - I can't remember why but it was probably something to do with it being slightly cheaper than the rest. Wore it for about 6/7 months until I realised that the skin on my nose and forehead was looking extremely dry. A contribution to this may have been that I wasn't using any moisturiser either - I was young and didn't know any better - but after talking to my sister who also used to use mousse foundation and reading beauty blogs and articles online, I learnt that mousse foundations are known for drying out the skin.

Now I wear a cream foundation, but finish it off with L'Oreal Paris The Minerals Truematch Powder Foundation. This is my favourite piece of make up in my collection. The reason being is that it makes my skin look flawless. I'm like every other girl, my face isn't perfectly even-toned and even with BB cream, concealer and foundation, there are still some blemishes. The powder is the last thing I apply to my face and makes my face less shiny, more even-toned, soft and also spot and blemish free.

As well as making me look fresh, awake and evenly-toned, this look lasts for the whole day and doesn't wear off. I use this product every day and the bottle lasts me 6 months which means that even though it can be seen as expensive at £15, it means that I don't have to be buying this every couple of months. £30 a year to look fabulous and fresh-faced every day is such a good price!

If they weren't reasons to love this product, than knowing that 95% of this powder is made from minerals, making it softer and lighter on your skin. This product also has no perfume or preservatives and is SPF 15, meaning that not only is it making your skin look flawless, it is also protecting your skin.

A perfect 10/10 for this product.
