SPRING LIPS - ONE SENTENCE REVIEWS

Left to right: Teeez Oasis Gem Lipstick in Coral Onyx, Bare Minerals Lip Gloss in Fruit Cocktail, Bare Minerals Pop Of Passion, Rimmel Moisture Renew in Ringa Ringa Roses, Butter | London in Tea With The Queen, Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Baby Doll, Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Nude Pink, Clinique Superbalm Moisturisig Gloss in Grapefruit, MUA Power Pout Glaze in Hush.

If you know me, then you'll know that I'm not usually one for wearing anything on my lips. However, recently I have noticed that my collections of lip products is growing through subscription boxes and beauty packs from events like The Clothes Show Live, so I thought that Spring 2016 is the start of a new, lipstick wearing me. I've been sifting out some products which I think would be perfect for the spring months. I know that sometimes I can ramble on and on, so this time I thought I would do something a little bit different and do one sentence reviews.

Teeez Oasis Gem Lipstick in Coral Onyx: This is a brand I hadn't heard before but even though the colour is different on the lips than it looks on the stick, it's a gorgeous pinky-coral that looks gorgeous on pale skin. Bare Minerals Lip Gloss in Fruit Cocktail: This is a dark purply-pink gloss that stays on for a long time, however it can be quite sticky! Bare Minerals Pop Of Passion: This is a SUPER bright pink that has a gorgeous shimmer and shine to it. Rimmel Moisture Renew in Ringa Ringa Roses: This is not as bright as the Bare Minerals Pop Of Passion, but it is a gorgeous shade of light pink. Butter | London in Tea With The Queen: This is a orangey-nude lip butter which smells gorgeous and feels even better on the lips. Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Baby Doll: I'm not too keen on the formula and stay-ability of Sleek's lip sticks but this is a gorgeous baby pink which is suitable for any spring day. Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Nude Pink: My current favourite lipstick. Pink, nude, shimmery and stays on for ages! Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Glass in Grapefruit: A super moisturising lip gloss which is nearly colourless but can be slightly sticky. MUA Power Pout Glaze in Hugh: A great smelling, nude gloss with a cute brush applicator included.

FEBRUARY/MARCH: NEW BUYS

Quick note: I didn't intend this post to be as long as it is, but please bare with it! This is my first post since November, gosh! Since starting my job in August, I have lost the motivation to come home and start writing posts after staring at a screen all day. However, I now have had the kick I need to start blogging again. As you can imagine, since last year I have bought a lot of beauty products and fashion pieces which I cannot wait to share with you all. First of all though, I want to share what I have bought in the past couple of weeks and what attracted me to them.

As you can tell from my last post, L'Oreal is my favourite high street brand (and maybe favourite brand full stop). It took me a while, but I have finally purchased some products from their 'infallible' collection - their primer and setting spray to be exact. So far, I'm really enjoying the primer (but there will be more on that in a separate post) and as I love it so much, I'm going to get their Infallible Foundation soon too.

At the weekend, me and my sister waited outside Next at 6 o'clock in the morning waiting for the sale to open at 7 (do you think we're dedicated enough?). As well as buying way too many clothes, I also purchased a few little home and beauty products. Firstly, I purchased the glass, yellow-tinted pot for only £1! I'm currently using it to store my hair clips, because who doesn't need a pot for clips? Next, I grabbed their perfume 'Midnight' for only £4, I've used this once since and I can honestly say that it smells a lot more expensive than it actually was, and the scent stays for ages. Lady Million from Paco Rabanne is my all time favourite scent, but I'll probably start using Midnight for daily use. Lastly, I picked up two of their 'Make Me Beautiful Eye Colour Chubby Sticks' - one in Champaign and the other in Amethyst. I've had my eye on Kiko's Eyeshadow Sticks for a while and I'm waiting until next paid day to have a little online splurge. I just think these will be perfect for when I'm having a lazy-makeup-day.

A couple of months ago, I saw on Groupon a makeup subscription box called Love Me Beauty which was offering 3 months-worth of boxes for only £14 so naturally, I couldn't resist. Despite being able to pick what I wanted, I wasn't too pleased with my first box. I picked a toner and a cleanser believing them to be a normal or decent size, but came tiny! However, like the first box I was able to pick what I wanted in my second, baring in mind it might not come as expected. But I was pleasantly surprised. In there was a Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips and as a decent size! So far, I'm loving this product (but again, more on that at a later date).

Next on the list, Benefit's Hoola. You may be surprised to learn that I've never used this before as it's such an iconic product - it's even more surprising to think that my sister swears by the stuff and has done for years. By having fare skin, I have to be careful with the bronzers and blushers I use as they can either make me look orange or make my skin tone look uneven. Rather than paying £20-odd for the normal sized Hoola, I spent £9 in Boots for the smaller pot just to give it a try. On first use, it does seem really dark but it might have to be a summer bronzer!

Lastly, it's Seventeen's Undereye Concealer. Seventeen is a brand that I've never used before but looking at their Easy On The Eyes palette, I might be buying more from them. I've been wanting a concealer specifically for my under-eyes for a while as I get worried about using a concealer I put on spots on other parts of my face in case I'm spreading the germs. At the moment, I've been wearing this every day and there has been no creasing and it's gets rid of my dark circles - so applauds all around!
